Advancing Measurement Technologies and Standards for Nanomedicine

Advancing Measurement Technologies and Standards for Nanomedicine, June 14-16, 2021

This virtual workshop aims to provide a platform for industry, regulatory, and research scientists to discuss recent advances and practical challenges in nanomedicine characterization, as well as to identify and prioritize specific measurements and standards which could facilitate preclinical development and regulatory approval, with a particular emphasis on lipid-based technologies.

The workshop will take place over three days, June 14-16, 2021, 9:00am-1:00pm EDT on all three days. Each day will include a combination of presentations and a moderated panel discussion.

  • 14 June: Nanomedicine – technology and applications
  • 15 June: Regulatory science issues and perspectives
  • 16 June: Standards and measurement development

The workshop is free, but participants are encouraged to register here:

Included among the list of speakers are NCL's Head of Immunology, Marina Dobrovolskaia, and Head of Physicochemical Characterization, Jeffrey Clogston. Marina will speak on "Biomarkers of Nanoparticle Immunotoxicity: Regulatory, Translational and Basic Research Perspective." Jeff will speak on "Physicochemical Characterization of Lipid-based Delivery Systems: What we know and what we still need to know." A full agenda and list of speakers can be downloaded here:
